Family
Families are avenues designed by God to enjoy and embody Jesus to one another and to others in our neighborhoods and other spheres of influence. Our church supplements the family by providing specialized ministries to children from birth to high school.

Husbands and wives are to enjoy and embody oneness with one another as Christ enjoys with His bride, the church. Fathers and mothers are to enjoy and embody Jesus to their children so they might be drawn to enjoy Jesus too. We encourage this perspective in our large group and small group teaching. The responsibility to live this out rests with each person and family. We plead with families to include in their family life those who are not a part of a family unit.
Embodying Jesus to the Fatherless
North Shore Fellowship has sought to minister to the fatherless in our church, Chattanooga, and around the world since its very start. We have supported local ministries such as Bethany Christian Services and Choices. We have supported and hosted international missions and missionaries such as Street Child International, House of Glory (abused, pregnant girls) and Freedom Firm International (human trafficking).
Within our fellowship there are many who have adopted and continue to adopt children who need a home where Christ is at the center. Many of us have gone on mission trips to Mexico (Casa Hogar de Ninos) and Mississippi (Palmer Home) to care for the fatherless. We are seeking to find and present opportunities to serve the fatherless from within NSF.
What Motivates Us?
Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. Isaiah 1:17
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Jeremiah 1:27
