North Shore
We long to embody Jesus to the North Shore of Chattanooga. This is why our church was planted. The primary way to embody Jesus is for those of us who live in the North Shore to love our neighbors as ourselves and to invite them into our fellowships. The second way we embody Christ to people of the North Shore are through organized initiatives to help redeem this part of our city.
Contact the office at 266-3757 and we can help you get in touch with the right folks.
Our four current initiatives in the North Shore are:
1) Angel Food
Help distribute affordable food to all kinds of families once a month. Contact Kate Raiford at 423.385.9163 or Sue Ashley at 423.870.9180.
See our FAQs under the Angel Food link on the home page for more info.
2) Normal Park upper school
This middle school needs lots of support and volunteers with academic tutoring, coaching various sports, and chaperoning field trips. These serving opportunities are available at all times of the day and evening.
3) Forrest Avenue Methodist Church
Fellowship over food and Scripture with our nearest and neediest neighbors (you can also help cook and serve the meal if you would like).
4) northside neighborhood house
Join the Northside Neighborhood House in connecting with kids and families in Hill City through tutoring elementary age kids, or playing at the Rec Center.

If you desire to do something more in the North Shore area, ask your fellowship group to join you. If it grows bigger than your group, please allow Gary Purdy, Roger Vieth, Tommy Austin, and Russell Golden to help you.
