Philosphy of Ministry

What’s wrong with the world?

We are.

But we’re changing from…
cynical to hopeful
dismissive to open
hostile to hospitable
stingy to generous
demanding to flexible
busy to restful
condemning to repentant
defensive to gracious

Why are we changing?
Because the story of a Creator who became a humble Jewish man has shown us we are far worse off than we ever imagined but far more loved than we ever dared dream.

·         He lived the life we should have lived,
·         He died the death we should have died,
·         He resurrected to give us life,
·         He reigns from heaven now, and
·         He will return to make all things new!

How does this story change us?
Because we believe this story, we orient our lives around the hope of Jesus Christ making all things new.

All things? Yes. All things…

  • Spiritual
  • – redeeming broken lives
  • Social
  • – reconciling broken relationships between people
  • Cultural
  • – renewing broken places through our vocations, service, and creativity
How does the dream become real?  life together
Life together? Yes by …
  • Finding life together in Jesus Christ
  • Sharing life together with one another
  • Giving life together with our neighbors and city

Impossible? Possibly. But for those whose imagination is stirred, we are…
Renewing hope together…
  • So that we grow in love for God, one another, and our neighbors.
  • So that we would be a safe place for the rising generations and diverse cultures.
  • So that we would sacrifice for spiritual, social, and cultural renewal.
  • So that we might multiply opportunities for the unchurched to reconsider Christ.

Renewing through the GOSPEL in…
  • rOWS
  • CIRCLES
  • Tables
  • Ordinary places
