Small Groups
The small group avenues to enjoy and embody Jesus together are Teaching Groups and Fellowship Groups.
Teaching Groups are designed to enjoy and engage with truth from God’s Word through teaching and interaction. Most Teaching Groups expand upon the biblical passage that is preached in Sunday worship. These groups are led by elders and other gifted teachers in an environment that allows for fuller discovery of the passage, broader understanding of how each passage fits into the larger story of Scripture, and longer reflection of the impact of the passage to our lives. Some Teaching Groups will cover additional topics such as our Inquirer’s Fellowship material and other theological and spiritual life issues.
Fellowship Groups are designed to enjoy and embody Jesus through eating together, talking about Scripture together, and praying together in homes on Sunday evenings—Eat, Talk, and Pray. Over a meal, we encourage relationship. Over Scripture, we talk about how it exposes our hearts, heals us with the gospel, and compels us to obey. In prayer, we speak to God about our lives, one another, and those we care about in our neighborhoods, spheres of influence around the city, and the world.
