Student ministry to middle school and high school students aims to enjoy and embody Jesus within the social, spiritual, and educational environments of students’ in our city.  

  • Back Yard Missions:  This is a once a month opportunity to worship Jesus through extending his peace to our city through service projects.
  • Teaching Groups: Meet on Sundays at 10am at the old Rock Creek building on the corner of Tremont and Frazier.   
  • SALT LIFE: Wednesday nights from 7pm-8:30pm at the old Rock Creek Building during the school year.  This is a ministry of worship, community and learning together what it means to enjoy and embody Jesus.  Students begin with a large group time together and move into a time of small groups with their peers and an adult teacher.

  • The Edge for current 6th grade-7th, June 21-25, $50 registration by April 25th the remaining $195 due May 30.
  • Rym- for incoming 9th-12th graders on July 5-9, $100 registration due March 1 the remaining $300 by May 3.
  • Backyard Mission Trip- July 29-Aug 1 more details to come.

 

Student Teaching Groups on sundays

Teaching groups for middle and high school students meet at 10am in the old Rock Creek building.  Parents can attend teaching groups at either the Woodland or Mississippi Ave location. 

For students attending the 8:45am service...students can walk down to the Rock Creek building with staff and leaders.  They will meet outside the main chuch doors immediately following the worship service. 

For students attending the 11:15am service...parents can drop off their students at 10am and then come pick them up or arrange to have them picked up at 11am.

Students must be picked up by 11am.  The building will be locked at 11am and students will wait outside with staff and leaders.  Parents need to come and get their students or arrange for them to have transportation.  See the drop off and pick up MAP.

SARAH THIRY

  1. 6th grade girls
  2. I have literally grown up in a youth ministry family and I love it! I feel that working with the youth helps to challenge me continually in where I am in my walk with Christ and in pushing me to share the gospel each week. I desire to see a generation of Christian youth being a light amidst this very unchristian world.

  4. In my free time I love knitting, reading, spending time with my husband and dog, and going on random crazy adventure.

GREG CRESWELL

  2. I am hoping one day to be a Youth Pastor and so I am trying to get as much experience as I can. I find real joy hanging out with teenagers and talking to them.

Cameron Moreland

  2. I first got involved with North Shore Fellowship's youth group because I love working with young women. A friend of mine was the leader of the 6th grade girls and gave me the opportunity to work with her. Since then, I have been able to follow the same girls and build real relationships with each of them. These relationships bring me back every year to get closer to them and grow closer to God with them.

  2. I feel led by God to be a part of the church's effort to reach Chattanooga with the gospel message through the lives of the teenagers of the church. Participating with SALT LIFE, allows me to exercise my gifts while watching the teens discover theirs.
